IT Consultant – Practical Test Task

SykesIT are a IT support and Technology company in Huddersfield Offering high quality support to it’s clients. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills.

A small business with 25 employees contacts SykesIT with the following issues:

• Staff report slow internet and network performance
• Two users cannot access shared folders
• One laptop repeatedly disconnects from Wi-Fi

• The company uses:

  • Microsoft 365 for email and documents

  • A Windows Server for shared drives

  • A basic firewall/router

  • Office PCs and a few laptops

What We’re Looking For

Candidates will be assessed on:

• Logical problem-solving approach

• Technical knowledge of networks and Microsoft environments

• Ability to prioritise issues

• Clear communication with non-technical clients
